I’m having less trouble than I expected doing the machinery. This is essentially her life support. The title of the piece is ‘At What Cost’. She’s alive, but at what cost.

This mornings work…About to pause it so I can write some.

Despite allergies that kept me sneezing non-stop, I was able to redo the face and body, using simulated acrylic instead of simulated watercolor. Not a big fan of watercolor for illustrations like this. Just too light I guess, and this just looks so much more real. So here is what I was able to do tonight and this morning. (After vacuuming and mopping the kitchen floor of course.)

Okay, I am trying to expand my illustration talents by trying out a sci-fi piece. Here is the work-in-progress.

Well, my postcards are starting to work. I was contacted recently by a wonderful woman from Tilbury who had seen my postcards and wanted to personally invite me to participate in an expo to help Powered By Girl in the launching of a new book called One Of Us. I drew a memory from my child’s life for the expo, to be sold for $25.00. The sales will benefit Powered by Girl. I was thrilled to be asked to participate, and sent her the postcard yesterday. (She should have received it this morning.)
Here is the illustration I sent her.
